60th ANNUAL CONVENTION OF STAI

The 60th Annual Convention of the Sugar Technologists' Association of India will be held at RITZ BANQUET HALL, The Ridge, The Mall, Shimla (Tel. No. : 0177 - 252413) from 19th - 21st Sept. `98. The inauguration will take place on 19th Sept. `98 at 11.00 A.M.

Call for Papers

You are requested to attend and contribute papers on recent developments in sugarcane agriculture, sugar technology, sugar engineering and co-products for this Convention. The subject matter of the papers can be viewed here. You can write papers on any other topic also.

Deadline : Please send your papers by 31st July '98.

S.N. GUNDURAO MEMORIAL LECTURE

The S.N. Gundurao Memorial Lecture is a tribute to Late Sh. S.N. Gundurao's contribution in the field of sugar industry and his service to the sugar technology in particular.

A Lecture Series known as the "S.N. Gundurao Memorial Lecture" was instituted in 1987 and is held during the Annual Convention. World renowned Indian and Foreign experts are invited to deliver the lecture.

This year's lecture has been focused on Milling vs Diffusion and shall be delivered by the eminent world renowned scientist - Dr. Peter Rein - Vice Chairman ISSCT, Chairman Technical Committee ISSCT and Technical Director Tongaat Hulett Sugar Ltd. The lecture shall be held on the inaugural day of the annual convention on 19th of Sept. `98 at 11.30 A.M.
